Governor Lee Kinyanjui States Why Ruto Cannot be Taken Serious, Warns Mt Kenya Residents About 2022

Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui has claimed that Deputy President William Ruto cannot be trusted in his 2022 bid since has brings on board young politicians who are trying to scale the ladder of national politics.

According to Kinyanjui, Ruto's recent attacks to three of Mount Kenya Governors James Nyoro of Kiambu, Francis Kimemia of Nyandarua and Kiraitu Murungi of Meru, is a deliberate move to weaken the county's political voice.

Speaking during Raila's Azimio la Umoja tour in Nyeri County on Saturday, Kinyanjui urged Mount Kenya residents to be alert and vote for Raila Odinga since he is the leader with their interests at heart.

"Mt Kenya region, I want to tell this that there is a deliberate plot to undermine your leadership. If you have no leaders and there is a problem, nobody will be there to speak for you. They will come with young leaders."

"I am happy with Raila and the leaders he is involving. For instance here in Nyeri, he has come with Governor, the deputy governor and the senator, the others come with youths so we cannot take them serious," posed Kinyajui.

The first term governor praised Raila stating that he is a wonderful person who is willing to go through will what it takes to ensure the country moves forward.

"I have interacted with you for six months now, and every time I realize you a wonderful leader who loves his country, and you know when it is necessary to compete and when to put your interests away for the sake of the country," he added.
