"We Will Remain Loyal to ODM But We Will Work With President Ruto" Coastal Politician Speaks Out

Following recent pressure from the Kenya Kwanza Coalition to leave the Orange Democratic Movement party, ODM Coastal Leaders have promised to stay.

In spite of all the pressure to replace Raila Odinga with William Ruto, ODM elected leaders claim that they will continue to adhere to their own philosophies.

In order to fulfill his promises to Mombasa residents, Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Shariff said they would continue to be loyal to Hon. Raila Odinga, the former prime minister of Kenya.

After defeating Raila Odinga on August 9 in the presidential election, President William Ruto is putting in a lot of effort to take the coastal region. On the other hand, ODM leader Raila Odinga is making every effort to ensure that his support base is still with him by 2027.

The party's ideals are very clear, but that does not mean we cannot cooperate with the government since we will be held accountable for the things we do for our constituents, according to Changamwe MP Omar Mwingi.

Now, it's a matter of waiting and watching to see if they continue to support the ODM party or not in the upcoming months.
