
President William Ruto has announced that all his Cabinet Secretaries starting up with him and his deputy Rigahi Gachagua will not receive all of their salary for last month.
In a consensus that they arrived at, they all decided to donate all of their salaries for the month of November to benefit hustlers who are struggling to meet their both ends meet.
The salaries for this group of people will go to the people who are tackling the drought effects in various parts of the country.
The project was initiated by the deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who asked willing persons to make contribution to mitigate the effects of drought in the country.
Besides the donation of salaries from this high profile government officials, ordinary Kenyans who have a willing heart to assist have been issued with a paybill number.
Millions of Kenyans are dying of hunger, and their livestock too are dying due to prolonged period of drought in the country.
The government and Non Governmental Organizations(NGOs) have put much of their resources assist the affected persons.
