"We Were Promised Ksh 2,000 And A Wheelbarrow By Babu For Causing Chaos," Says The Youths

Some youths have confessed that they were instructed by Babu Owino to cause mayhem at UDA party headquarters in Nairobi. They further narrated how they were lured into the act after they had a brief meeting at Uhuru park.

The youths who were from Embakasi East also shared that they had abandoned their hustles after getting promised that each one of them was going to pocket ksh 2000 and in addition they were going to be given a wheelbarrow.

However things turned ugly when they were cornered and the lawmaker even after promising them that he was going to join them later and perhaps take care of any problem that would have arose, was nowhere near the chaotic scenes.

The youths were now asking for pardon from a section of UDA party supporters who had rounded them and threatening to teach them a lesson. Effort for them to be released by the Ruto supporters fell on deaf ears as they got tortured.

It is not good and its a high time leaders practised political tolerance because if such trend was to continue, the ghosts of post election violence may visit Kenyans in the nearing 2022 election. It is also time the youths refused to be misused.
