President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta is expected to retire from the presidential office officially on the ninth of August this year after the general election where Kenyans electorates are expected to elect the successor of Uhuru Kenyatta. Raila Odinga, William Ruto, Jimmy Wanjigi, Ekuru Aukot and Ruben Kigame are all eyeing to succeed president Uhuru Kenyatta.
Today, Dr William Samoei Ruto disapproved Charity Ngilu's statement whe she claimed that Rigathi Gachagua cannot pull a crowd during campaign if he will not be accompanied by Dr William Ruto. Today Ruto extended his Kenya Kwanza campaign to Nyeri county's while his nominated deputy president Rigathi Gachagua was in Kericho county together with Moses Wetangula.
On the other hand, Kimilili member of parliament Hon Dismus Baraza is also campaigning for William Ruto together with Ken Lusaka in Bungoma county. While addressing the people, Baraza claimed that the state cannot deny Raila Odinga to vie for presidency and yet he has passed sixty five years.
"Vintage Raila Odinga is too old to lead this country. If all public servants entitled to permanent and pensionable terms are not allowed allowed to serve after 60 years, what of him who is over 85 years?" Dismus Baraza
