Questions have been raised on why a Member of the Nairobi County Assembly has been granted police protection against the law on the dignitaries who should get police protection.
According to details, the flamboyant MCA has been granted bodyguards who have been escorting him from his house to his office and also the county Assembly prescints.
To make it more questionable, they have been clearing way for him sometimes with the People Daily reporting that he lives in one of the pish Nairobi estates.
It has been disclosed that with a the security and special privileges being accorded to the Member of County Assembly, his colleagues in the Assembly have been feeling intimidated by him.
The officers are usually paid at the end of the day to do other unofficial duties including clearing the road for him or escorting the politician’s children to school and wife on personal errands.
Perhaps the Inspector General should explain what is so special about the MCA that he has so many bodyguards at his beck and call.
