Name of Raila Ally Who Was to be Appointed Defence CS But Has Now Decided to Become a Lawyer

After his side lost in August of last year, former Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa has now disclosed that he has opted to get involved in another employment.

Wamalwa had been given the Defense docket if Raila Odinga, a supporter of Azimio La Umoja, won the presidential election.

But President William Ruto defeated Raila, leaving the people he had promised jobs to in the cold and making Ruto the one in charge of setting up the administration.

The leader of the DAP-K party, Wamalwa, has stated that he will run for office in the general election of 2027.

But he has said that in the interim, while continuing to be active, he will return to his legal career.

"Yes, I'm returning to the practice of law. To oppose this administration, my party will stand firmly shoulder to shoulder with other Azimio affiliates. If ever Kenya needed a powerful opposition, this is it, he told Daily Nation.

He is one of the leaders that went with Raila to Kamukunji in December and has been openly observed participating in opposition affairs.

He has also questioned certain of Ruto's actions, and on December 14 he questioned why the former president Uhuru Kenyatta's subsidies, which he deemed to be extremely vital, had been eliminated.

"The decision to offer these subsidies on common products was made for a reason. Mumezitoa, how much money have you saved, and where did it go?" He spoke
