Deputy President William Ruto has today received a massive obstacle in regards to his BBI opposition Mission after Embu County-based political leader has revealed that they will ensure that the BBI referendum happens earlier than expected, adding that the National Assembly only needs at most 3 weeks to verify the report which is currently in 47 counties.
According to the news presented by the Daily Nation, National Assembly Hon Mutuli who comes from Embu County, Mbeere North Sub-County has now revealed that there is no essence of confusing Kenyans with a long list of Multiple Choice referendum (Ruto's style), adding that it will confuse Kenyans.
Additionally,Mr Muturi also appeared to rule out a multiple-question referendum when he said the House would adopt a Bill being fronted by the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee (JLAC), which proposes a Yes or No referendum.
Adding salt to an injury, Mutual has now reported that since the 2010 Constitution amendment Bill 2020 will sway through a referendum, there is no need to observe the 90 days required, meaning that it will happen earlier than June this year, probably May or April.
