ODM Lawmakers Accuse Sifuna Of Meddling In Party Primaries, Ask Raila To Act Swiftly.

Orange Democratic Movement party secretary-general Edwin Sifuna, has been accused by a section of members of county assembly from Busia county for meddling in grassroot elections.

Addressing the press in Busia county at the party Headquarters, the leaders urged Sifuna to concentrate on his leadership mandate at the party headquarters instead of interfering with party primaries which should be presided over by different party officials.

Led by Marach Member of county assembly Hon. John Oganga, the leaders accused Sifuna of favouring certain candidates a move that may lead to mass walkout from the party. Oganga stated that Sifuna should not think that the party belongs to him. He urged the secretary-general Edwin Sifuna to let the National Elections Board to perform its duty.

The leaders further asked ODM boss Raila Odinga to take keen interest in the region and to immediately intervene to keep the party intact ahead of the forthcoming general elections. Video:
