Over time, Laikipia county has been expiriencing some conflicts. It all started some few weeks ago after a terrorist group entered the region. This group started killing people as they escape with livestock's and other properties belonging to residents of Laikipia county. On top of that, this group disturbed the learning activities in the region as they burnt some schools in the area.
Since then, the government of Kenya through the ministry of internal security have been trying to restore peace in the area. Now, today, the government of Kenya through the minister of internal security, Dr Fred Matiang'i have announced a mass evacuation of people from this area.
As reported by the standard digital, Dr Matiang'i have said that they will be evacuating non-residents of Laikipia from this county. Mr Matiang'i went ahead to urge these people to vacate the region before the government shifts in. This is one way of restoring peace and stability in laikipia county as per Dr Fred Matiang'i.
