ODM boss Raila Odinga is treading on solid ground after an elite ring of business moguls promised to support his presidential bid.
During the meeting, the chairman of the Mount Kenya Foundation Mr Ibui narrated how Uhuru asked them to help identify an ideal individual that would succeed him.
Also in the event was Oburu Odinga and James Orengo who also gave their speeches. According to Mr Oburu, the Odinga family has had a long stint of business undertakings dating back decades ago when Jaramogi Odinga worked under the Luo thrift and trading corporation. Herein, Jaramogi tutored the Luo community on how to borrow, save, spend and repay loans.
Oburu said that scaling Mt Kenya isn't an uphill task for Raila because he has never been involved in any criminal scandals.
Raila's brother went on to fault Ruto's Bottom-up economics approach by saying that it's impossible to uplift the livelihood of ordinary Kenyans with baseless structures.
"How can you develop mama mboga without a reasonable structure that is to say you are creating a handout economy," he said.
He drummed Support for Raila as the best Presidential candidate, saying that the ODM boss has on different occasions placed his life on the line for the benefit of Kenyans.
