The internet community has been thrown to a frenzy after details have emerged that,the price of a pair of Air Jordan sneakers worn by former prime minister Raila Odinga,could buy a plot in the ballooning outskirts of the city.
The seasoned politician,fondly referred to as Baba or Tinga by his adherent followers was at the University of Nairobi today,in a meeting with a cahort of youth leaders and young people in general.The purpose of the meeting was to listen to the plea of the young people who he termed as the driving force of the nation.
Today was not the usual day,where the former primier as is occasional would clad,in a three piece Italian suit and some expensive baker official shoes.Tinga was clad in some expensive Air Jordan which, a quick search on international markets,puts a pair in excess of 2,000$.The enigmatic politician in a bid to entice the majority population of the voters who are the youths,sought to look like them,wear like them.But the affluence is where the distinction comes about.
