President Uhuru Kenyatta now says Kenya's economy has grown at a higher rate under his compared to all the previous regimes including the colonial administration.

Speaking during his eighth State of the Nation Address in Parliament on Tuesday, President Kenyatta said since he took over the country's leadership in 2013 Kenya has risen from being ranked 12th wealthiest nation in Africa to 6th position.

Showcasing his legacy programmes the President gave a detailed account of his government, outlining milestones in all fundamental sectors. 

Compared with how other African countries have done, Uhuru said even as Egypt comes 2nd in phrases of electricity connectivity, his management connected 1.7 million greater families than Egypt in only eight years.
