Roselinda Simiyu Atwoli’s ex-wife has Deputy President William Ruto to pay her child’s school fees after being abandoned by Atwoli. Ms Simiyu says that the flamboyant trade unionist has abandoned them since she decided to support Ruto’s presidential bid and their child has never been in school since the beginning of the year. While speaking during a campaign rally in Bungoma County on Monday, Roselinda asked DP Ruto to come to her rescue and help raise her child’s school fees.

Since January, Roselinda declared her support for DP Ruto and things have never been the same between her and Atwoli. Atwoli is said to her disowned Roselinda after Roselinda publicly differed with Atwoli and said that she will support Ruto against the wishes of her then husband who is rooting for Raila’s presidency. Roselinda is seeking to be the next woman representative for Bungoma County.

Roselinda says that Atwoli has abandoned her and she is struggling to pay school for her child who has now been out of school due to lack of school fees. She says that the child has been out of school since January and Atwoli is not bothered about his child’s education.

“There is an individual who has abandoned his child and wife. Please DP Ruto, I have a child who has not been to school since the beginning of the year and I would like you to help me raise the school fee. I know Atwoli has called you names but for the sake of the mother, please help my child go back to school,” Roselinda has said.
