The past few days have been so heated with the debate about a possible President Uhuru’s endorsement of some of the Kenyan top politicians who are eyeing the Presidency.
It is a notion that has been advanced by DP Ruto’s side against members of the NASA brigade however some of the people mentioned have now come out to clear the air.
Deputy President William Ruto who has not been in good political terms with his boss the President took out on the ODM leader Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka and Gideon Moi while on his Mombasa tour accusing them of just sitting pretty and waiting for President Uhuru’s endorsement.
On February 6, 2021 just a day after DP Ruto accused Raila and others of waiting for endorsement, Philip Etale took to his official twitter handle to refute such claims. Etale further explained that it is indeed the Deputy President who is craving for endorsement.
According to Etale, Ruto’s presidential ambition would be in jeopardy if he is not endorsed as compared to Raila who can make it on his own.
“Tangatanga is misleading that others are looking for presidential endorsement. He is the one who is craving for that endorsement. He knows without endorsement his project is dead,” twitted Etale.
ODM official’s denial of the endorsement claims comes just a day after the Amani leader Musalia Mudavadi also denied being anyone’s favorite in the forthcoming presidential contest.
