Orange Democratic Movement party member of parliament Hon. Peter Opondo Kaluma, has weighed in on Raila's choice of his deputy as race to succeed president Uhuru Kenyatta intensify.
The vocal Homabay town constituency member of parliament has suggested a pair of Raila and former Gichugu constituency member of parliament Hon Martha Karua who hails from the vote rich Mount Kenya region.
This comes as Raila is yet to declare his presidential bid and whoever will deputise him, however, it is clear that the former prime minister will settle for someone from the Mount Kenya region.
A week ago, media houses reported that the tycoons drawn from the Mount Kenya region under an umbrella called the Mount Kenya foundation, had given the Orange Democratic Movement party boss a list of politicians from which he should choose his running mate, the move was made after the group hosted him for a luncheon where majority of the attendees reportedly endorsed Raila.
