Former Uhuru's administration Cabinet Secretary, Dr Ekuru Aukot has reacted on the government's move on 3% housing levy. Ekuru Aukot said that it doesn't make sense to slap Kenyans with 3% housing levy. Its formula is haphazard and unenforceable. Ekuru don't see efficiency and equity in the finance bill 2023.
"The decision-making policy of this government is not informed by research. It doesn't make sense to slap Kenyans with 3% housing levy; its formula is haphazard and unenforceable. I don't see efficiency and equity in the finance bill 2023", Dr. Ekuru Aukot.
Dr Ekuru Aukot added that the government is not getting its priorities right. Kenyans need need to demystify the discussion about corruption in the country and call it what it what it is.
