The former Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko has left Kenyans with mixed emotions as they shower him with God's blessings. The politician shared a story about a woman from Bungoma by the name Beatrice Makokha who has been suffering for decades with no one to help her. Beatrice developed a growth on her face which is slowly making it hard for her to breathe.

According to the politician, the sad story has touched him and he is ready and willing to offer financial support for Beatrice and her family so that she can be able to regain her normal health. Mike appealed to the Star to open a funding platform for Beatrice so that he together with other well-wishers can help her. He said that he is planning to have her ferried to Indian for treatment.

The former Nairobi County boss also shared another moving story of how he helped another Kenyan child with a tumor. His popular Sonko Rescue Team had the child ferried to Indian for medical attention and the tumor was successfully removed. The child is now in good condition, as revealed by Mike.

He shared the two stories on his official social media pages. Below is a post he made through his Facebook page:

“I have come across the story of Beatrice Makokha who is suffering from a face growth that is making her struggle to breath. I have been touched by the plight of Beatrice and my team is ready to assist her with medical aid so that she can undergo surgery in India. Three years ago, Baby Scandy Chelagat from Kericho County was suffering from an eye cancerous tumour. We were able to airlift her to India where the cancerous tumor was successfully removed after a 9 hour surgery. I’m appealing to the star to help Beatrice open a fund for her medical assistance so that myself and other well-wishers contribute funds to ensure she gets proper medical attention. May the Lord heal her,” Mike Sonko posted on Facebook.

The post sparked mixed reactions from people across the country, Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi, Nigeria, South Africa, Rwanda, Cameroon, Egypt and other African Union (AU) countries. The politician won the heart of many people with his willingness to help those who are in need. Kenyans showered him with praises and blessing remarks.
