Interior CS Matiang'i Reveals Number of Police Officers Guarding Ruto's Properties

The Interior Security Cabinet Secretary, Dr. Fred Matiang'i and his counterpart Karanja Kibicho had been summoned by Legislators today.

The two had been called to Parliament to explain the reasons why The Deputy President's Security was withdrawn.

A few days ago, the General Service Unit officers guarding Ruto's premises were replaced by Administration Police Officers.

Ruto has expressed the fact that he is satisfied with the Administration Police Officers guarding his properties.

Today, at the hearing, the Interior Security Cabinet Secretary has revealed that there are over 4,000 officers who guard the VIPs in the country.

He has also revealed that there are 257 police officers that guard the properties of the Deputy President across the country.
