
Former cabinet assistant secretary for trade,industry and investment David Osiany has shared his opinion on the recent visit to Nyanza by president Ruto.
The visit by the head of state was a two day tour that was ending on Saturday. The president launched various projects in Homa Bay and Siaya county.
Writing on his social media handle,David Osiany lauded president Ruto saying that it was in good spirit that the president was engaging the people of Nyanza with respect.He opined that it was an act of democracy for him to do so despite the region being the base of his political opponent Raila Odinga.Osiany has said the act by the president is an act of nationhood.
"The resoectful engagement of the people of Nyanza by President @WilliamsRuto is laudable.Democracy does not envisage the banishing of those of contrary political opinions, but the acceptance of all. Indeed, that is the journey towards nationhood," he said.
