Kenneth Marende is one of the best ever national assembly speaker in Kenya. He served in Kibaki government, and the five years he worked with Kibaki were the best years for Kenya as a country. Marende served in the government of Kibaki from 2007 to 2013.

After Kibaki leaving the office, Marende was given a job by Uhuru Kenyattaa in 2014,and he served as the chairman of Kenya Power company for about 2 years, where he retired and decided to concentrate on his businesses.

In 2017 he didn't vie for any post, and he used to spent a lot of his time at his village mansion in Maseno, 'Ebulako', located in Vihiga County, where he was busy doing farming.

After taking a break from politics, Marende has officially returned to politics, and he recently joined DAP K, which is a party that is led by Wamunyinyi from Bungoma County. Romours have it that he might vie for the governor seat in Vihiga County. All the best Kenneth, we will live to remember you forever.
