Deputy president William Ruto is one the presidential candidates in the coming general election. The vocal politician has been traversing different parts of the country popularizing his presidential bid and UDA's new bottom-up economic model.
Today he was warmly welcomed by Ukambani leaders in Makueni county. He is expected to meet over 1,000 UDA leaders from the county. He will later address a series of rallies in Mtito Andei, Kibwezi, Kambu and Makindu towns. He will address various issues affecting the region and the country.
The deputy president was warmly welcomed by UDA leaders from the region. The leaders included Makueni UDA coordinator James Mbaluka, former Machakos senator Johnstone Muthama, Machakos legislator Victor Munyaka among other local leaders.
The deputy president was accompanied by several UDA leaders. They include Turkana governor Josphat Nanok and Kiharu legislator Ndindi Nyoro. The leaders will drum support for William Ruto presidential bid. They will also popularize UDA bottom-up economic model.
