Today, governors were sworn in to start working for the Kenyans. There were several who were re-elected for the second term while others came in as first time governors. They have all agreed to work and deliver the promises they made during campaigns. One of the first time governors who were sworn in is Makueni county governor honourable Mutula Kilonzo Jr.
However, it was not a good day for the new governor. According to Mpasho news, his car was involved in an accident. The accident happened along Machakos-Wote road near Wote town at around 10:30am. That it lost direction and plunged into a ditch.
The good news is that the three people who were in the car escaped unhurt. Moreover, the governor himself was not in the car. His swearing in however continued as planned. Many residents attended and had their expectations on what the governor should do for them as he takes office.
