Despite the recent government agenda of planting ten billion trees by 2030, It’s worth to remember that in recent years, the rate of deforestation in Mau Forest has accelerated, with large areas of the forest being cleared for agriculture, and illegal logging also remains a significant problem. This has led to loss of biodiversity, destruction of habitats and an increase in soil erosion.
