" Wacheni Mungu Aitwe Mungu" Former Nairobi Governor Reacts After Court Acquits Him Of Corruption.

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has joined a list of Kenya Kwanza politicians whose cases have been withdrawn. This is after the Anti Corruption Chief Magistrate Douglas Ogoti acquited Sonko of a corruption case he was being accused of committing during his reign as the Nairobi County Chief.

The flamboyant politician took to Twitter to celebrate his acquittal saying it has taken the hand of God for him to skip this huddle.

Sonko claimed that the charges against him were made up by his enemy. He alleged that the person who made up the false charges wanted to control Nairobi. He however observed that God has proved his conspirators wrong.

"Someone wanted to control Nairobi and made up the charges to remove me from office but God has proven them wrong," he tweeted.

Sonko becomes the latest person to be acquited by the courts. This comes after the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) withdrew charges against Gender CS Aisha Jumwa, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, CS for Agriculture Mithika Linturi among others. This caused a public outcry with some critics accusing The Judiciary of being taken captive by President William Ruto.
