The Mt Kenya Foundation has informed plans to deal with Deputy President William Ruto as Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya responds to Mathira Member of Parliament Hon Rigathi Gachagua claims on who controls Mt Kenya.
On Saturday, Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua has informed that "I want to tell those rich men that when they are finally fone endorsing Raila Odinga they should be reminded that Ruto is the current owner of the mountain."
Adding that "anyone who wishes to climb the mountain must pass through Ruto."
However, after the statements, Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya and a close ally to President Uhuru has said that " President Kenyatta remains the acting Mt Kenya leader and will give direction on which way Mt. Kenya will vote."
It has been established that the Mount Kenya Foundation through their Vice-Chairman Mr. Titus Ibui has informed that they are not in any way going to engage Deputy President William Ruto making it clear that for anyone who is disrespectful to the Head of State they treats him or her as an enemy.
Mr. Ibui has said that they will be forwarding names of only those that they have engaged with for consideration when choosing President Uhuru's successor.
"You must be wondering what will happen after this. We will interrogate and converge at Limuru Three and a decision will be made on who the community will support. What we want to ask you as the OKA team is that you must respect our President. If you call him names, we will not be with you. You must realize that,” he said.
