Details Finally Leak On Why Raila Met With A section Kikuyu Elders Yesterday

Former Prime Minister and ODM leader Raila Odinga has continued to keep Kenyans guessing on his 2022 plans as the clock keeps ticking towards the election.

He has on many occasions made it clear that he would only declare his ambitions after the Building Bridges Initiative is done.

His actions have however been hinting at him attempting another stab at the presidency.

This as mainly due to the high profile . meetings he has been holding at his Karen home which have been indicating that he could be regrouping for the next polls.

Raila yesterday held a meeting with a section of the elders from the vote rich Mt Kenya region.

While Raila made it clear through his social media platforms that the elders only paid him a courtesy call after he recoverd from COVID-19, details have finally leaked on the agenda of the meeting.

As established by the Saturday Standard, it has emerged that the meeting was aimed at ending the rivalry between the Luo and the Kikuyu communities.

The two communities have not been seeing eye to eye for many decades and there has been a growing need to have them reconcile.

The efforts to reconcile the two communities officially began last year when the Kikuyu elders paid a courtesy call to Raila's Bondo home.
