Didmus Barasa Declares He Will Quit Politics Should The Following Happen

Kimilili constituency member of Parliament Hon Didmus Barasa has declared that he will officially quit politics next week should his preferred candidate in the Bungoma Senatorial Race Wafula Wakoli fail to clinch the seat.

Taking to his official social media pages, the vocal United Democratic Alliance party member of Parliament expressed confidence that Wafula wakoli will win the seat in the just concluded by elections.

He further lauded the Bungoma residents for maintaining peace during the elections that just ended.

"Thank you the people of Bungoma for peaceful senatorial by election, For Wafula Wakoli please pima suti (let your suit measurements be taken) ya swearing in. I will quit politics from next week if Hon David Wafula Wakoli will be defeated" he posted on his Twitter handle.

The race is being seen as a tight one between three candidates Wafula Wakoli, Wafula Wamunyinyi of Democratic Action party, and Mwambu Mabonga of United Democratic Alliance party.
