"Open Your Eyes Mr DCI" Agitated Senator Ephraim Maina Demands Response Amidst Public Outcry

The Nyeri health problem is not ending any time soon, even after Ephraim Maina alerted the EACC several months earlier. The dangerous public thieves just went underground for days waiting for the fire to cool down only to resume.

Nyeri Senator Ephraim Maina has lost his cool yet again over the same issue demanding that relevant authorities move with speed to rescue Nyeri residents. The situation is getting out of hand as complains of poor health services and patients forced to buy drugs every now and then have increased day in day out.

In response to that Nyeri county governor Mutahi Kahiga has launched the fight against corruption in his own capacity. He made ministerial reshuffle where with an aim to disorient and dismantle the corrupt cartel selling public medicine to private hospitals.

He has sent affected, officials to compulsory leave to give room for investigation. The county speaker Hon Kaguchia has also lauded the governor for that move, saying they shouldn't rest and give room to corruption and incompetence.

Nyeri has ever been ranked among the poorest performing counties, but since Mutahi took over the situation has changed drastically. Even better, their county speaker has been in the forefront in making sure that their assembly maintain peace and it's different from their neighbours Nyandarua.

Ephraim Maina while speaking to ignore said he can't understand which miracle other counties are pulling to provide enough drugs to their patients which Nyeri can't do. He has asked EACC to shift their attention, their and DCI should stop sleeping and make a move to investigate where allocated health funds go if cannot help their hospital procure enough kits and medicine.

This is, however a common problem in many countries since they took over health docket. Strikes by health personnel have been also an eye opener that the counties may be far from being ready to take over such crucial ministry.
