Kericho Senator Dismisses the Narrative That Karua Will Massively Attract Women Votes

Vocal UDA politician Aaron Cheruiyot who is a die hard supporter of the Deputy President William Ruto has dismissed the narrative which is now going on that Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua will attract women votes in Raila's favor.

That is after she was officially announced by the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition flag-bearer Raila Odinga as his presidential running mate, a declaration which was received with much joy and celebrations by many women across the country.

To most of the political analysts, legal experts and even a number of Kenyans who have had a chance to air their views via online platforms or media channels, the unveiling of Karua as Raila's running mate was the best decision that the ODM leader did.

One advantage of that to his bid is the ability to win more votes from women across the country since they will have the feeling of being represented by one of their own at the top.

It will also enable him to attract more votes from Mount Kenya Region where he has found it very rough to penetrate and win the support of those from the vote-rich Region.

These views are however different from those of the Kericho County Senator Aaron Cheruiyot who is much convinced that the unveiling of Martha Karua as Azimio's Second-in-Command will have no effect to the decision which will be made by women in August.

He has even gone back to revisit the past, that is 2013 general elections where Martha Karua was contesting for the top political seat and was shown plain dust.

This has made him to ask about the presence of those women being talked of by those at Raila camp.

And if she could not manage to have the support of those women when she was facing the big political battle as a candidate, will she manage to have it now and channel more votes to Raila's bid while serving as the running mate.
