According to sources, they have been allowed to wear the uniform of their choice until president Ruto's taskforce gives its final recommendations. However, poor quality and shortage of the blue uniforms has led to criticism against them thus unpopular, in fact due to their unpopularity, it has led to reintroduction of the old uniforms.
