The Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua surprised people during the launch of the Hustler fund at Green park on November 30, after buying a shirt from a 'hustler' for Kshs 50,000.
Among others in the launch were the President William Ruto and Nairobi Governor Sakaja.
The hustler who sells shirts, was given a chance to showcase his business. Gachagua was called on stage to buy a shirt. The hustler was then asked to sell the shirt that Gachagua had picked.

He said that he usually sells that kind of shirt for Kshs 1000 but since he has a fuliza loan he will sell it to the DP at Kshs 5000 that would help him pay the loan.
Gachagua in turn declared that he would buy the shirt for Kshs 50,000.
Kenyans have given their thoughts on this. Most of them criticizing him and saying he would have used the money to help the needy and those parts of the country that are suffering from hunger strike.
