Kenya so far has got three cities that is Nairobi,Mombasa and Kisumu.People have been wondering on the next Kenyan town that might qualify for becoming the fourth city in Kenya. Many people have been suggesting on Nakuru town since it is the fourth largest and developed town in Kenya.
Well,my opinion differs abit,am seeing a town again in rift valley region that is actually rapidly developing and according to my thinking might beat Nakuru in the race. Eldoret is the fifth largest town Kenya located to the northern part of rift valley region.
Eldoret town has been developing rapidly mainly as a result of agriculture, actually it is one of the major sources of agricultural products for Kenyan economy.Big maize milling factory is located in Eldoret town which supplies almost the whole country with maize flour.
Rivatex industry which produces textile products and many others is also located in Eldoret town. The Kenya Uganda highway also passes through Eldoret town thus promoting intercountry trade which aims at development.
Eldoret International airport is one the largest airports in Kenya which help in tourism promotion and International trade.Other large business investments such as big hotels, supermarkets, restaurants and large malls are also located in Eldoret.
