Uasin Ngishu Governor has hinted a possibility for Deputy President William Ruto to work with Raila Odinga ahead of the 2022 general elections. This was during a live interview at NTV whereby the Rift Valley politician had been invited to discuss the political status of Kenya

At one point, Uasin Ngishu Governor Jackson Mandago noted that Raila Odinga might ditch Azimio La Umoja and join Kenya Kwanza Alliance so as to work with William Ruto ahead of the August polls. Governor Mandago has made it clear that the body of Raila is in Azimio but the spirit and heart is in Kenya Kwanza
This was after Salim Swaleh who was the host asked the Governor whether there is any possibility for a handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto. Governor Mandago answered this but indicated that he is not sure about this but he sees possibility of Raila to do a handshake with Ruto.
