The incumbent Governor, who had started her campaigns ahead of 2022 general elections, served tea at dinghy Hotel while interacting with them.
Waiguru posted the photos on her official Facebook page and captioned them saying the following;
“I enjoyed having a cup of tea with Mwea residents at Freshna Cafe and listening to their stories of how our #KirinyagaRising vision has transformed their lives.
“Ground iko Imara!I am listening." She said.
Netizens mocked her after she sharing the images on her social media platforms, some accusing her of taking part in funny activities to woo voters.
"Nilisema na nitarudia, huu ndio ule wakati wanasiasa wakucha wakule nawe kwenye vipanda, wakulipie githeri, mandazi na chai wakijifanya mko level moja nao... But wacha apate hiyo kura," a Kenyan commented.
“Mwaka wakubebwa ujinga. Why didn’t enjoy the tea after elections,” a concerned Kenyan reacted.
“It’s that time again! They will dine with the poor,” another Kenyan added.
