"Raila is Expired Now" Uhuru Told While Being Accused of Losing Touch With The Reality

Speaking on citizen television on 6th December 2021, ANC party secretary-general Simon Gikuru has accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of his attempt to endorse ODM leader Raila Odinga for the 2022 presidency following his recent comments that the presidency is not a split race but a marathon and the old man will come and overtake you when you are out of breath.

Reflecting on the 2017 elections, Uhuru lead a campaign on a platform of digital versus analogue where he termed Raila as an analogue and now he is the same person approving Raila's presidency.

He, therefore, concluded that if Raila was analogue in 2017, then he must be "expired" for the presidency in 2022, alleging that Uhuru has proved to be losing touch with the reality as the end of his tenure approach.

He, therefore, called the president to take Kenyans seriously concerning the next leadership while urging youths to come out in large numbers and take up leadership roles in the elective positions.
