Turkana county Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai is a wanted after involving himself with forgery.The (EACC) says that Lomorukai is facing instant arrest over forgery of his degree and diploma certificates that paved way form him to contest in the gurbernatorial race.
According to the EACC agency that did investigations, it was established that both the Governor's diploma and degree certificates were forged, thus making him liable to criminal hunting.
EACC reiterates the Jeremiah faked a degree and diploma papers alleged to have been issued by Kenya Methodist University.The Twalib Mbarak-led agency is now demonstrating that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) turned a blind eye to their recommendation before his (Jeremiah) clearance.
EACC says the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission gave governor Jaremiah the green light to contest for the position of Turkana leadership despite the commission presenting the matter before the electoral body.
The affidavit was submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) who noded for the governor to be convicted and charged.The Governor, elected on an Orange Democratic Movement party ticket, will now face forgery charges.
He will also be charged for giving false information to EACC and uttering false papers contrary to section 353 of the Penal Code.The Governor was among the two hundred and fourth one candidates flagged by the EACC as having classical integrity matters prior to the August 9th, 2022 general elections and their names forwarded to the IEBC.
