Kenyans React as DP Ruto's UDA Party Showcases its Office in President Uhuru's Home turf [PHOTOS]

United Democratic Alliance (UDA) affiliated to Deputy President Wiliam Ruto has continued to claim 'ground' in Mt Kenya region.

This comes as the party has opened its offices in Othaya constituency as it readies to battle for the regions seat which has been for the past few years dominanted by the ruling jubilee party led by the head of state President Uhuru Kenyatta.

UDA office in Othaya region is painted and branded with the party's main colors, yellow and green not forgetting its wheelbarrow slogan.

Opening of UDA's office in the region that is well known to be President Uhuru's home turf has elicited mixed reactions among Kenyans

A fight for supremacy is ongoing, amid open defections from legislators allied to Jubilee Party to UDA, the latest being Laikipia East MP Mohamed Amin and Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, who is flirting with the idea.

But the Jubilee loyalists in the region are not planning to give an easy fight and have crafted their own strategy to reclaim the ground.

This has been evident as several Mt Kenya leaders have resolved not to fold up their political parties and join Deputy President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ahead of the 2022 General Election.
