Details Emerge On Karua's New Move To Encounter Gachagua In Mt. Kenya Region

Deputy President William Ruto's running mate Rigathi Gachagua has indicated that Martha Karua's support for Azimio chief Raila Odinga is nothing new and that she repeats this every five years.

If what Gachagua says is true, then even Karua is aware that the people in their Mt. Kenya backyard are rooting for Kenya Kwanza candidate William Ruto and plan to vote in masses for the DP come August. But he argues that she is merely doing what she does best; sprinting in the opposite direction, and has once again opted to defy the region by taking the other route which has always been taken in all previous elections.

The lawmaker from Mathira has predicted that Karua will once again lose and that Ruto will become president thanks to supporting from the Mt. Kenya region. "She has repeated what she has done every five years. She always walks in the other direction of where Mt Kenya people are walking," the legislator stated in Meru County on Sunday according to the reports published by the star.

He said this was an example of why Karua couldn't be trusted to defend President Uhuru Kenyatta, as she was working against him while the other Mt Kenya leaders were rallying behind him. As a result, Gachagua argues, Karua has no right to criticize Ruto for allegedly insulting the President, as she was not present when the DP and other leaders were joining forces with Uhuru.

"There is no way you can teach William Ruto morality or respect for Uhuru Kenyatta, my sister. Because you have never respected or backed Uhuru Kenyatta, you have no idea how to respect him "Additionally, Gachagua is cited. But Karua is at the moment in the same camp with Uhuru, who also supports a Raila presidency.
