With August presidential campaigns intensifying, both Deputy President William Ruto and his main rival Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga will on Friday next week share a podium in Eldoret.

The duo alongside Kanu's chairman and Baringo senator Gideon Moi will be among the dignitaries who will be attending the burial ceremony of Mzee Jackson Kibor in Uasin Gishu County.

As reported by the Star, the family has invited key political players for the burial that will take place on Friday April 1st.

Kibor who was famous and was referred to as the 'Chairman of Men Conference' breathed his last at the age of 88 years while he was receiving treatment at St Luke's Orthopedic and Trauma Hospital.

According to the family, Kibor will be buried next to his first Wife Mama Mary, with one of his sons Philip Kimutai revealing that Mzee had identified his final resting place few days before his death.

Kimutai added that at least 50 goats and 7 bulls will be slaughtered as part of Mzee's send off ceremony, and everyone was welcomed owing to hos popular Mzee was.

"Our father was a man of the people so we will slaughter the bulls and goats to celebrate his life. He was highly respected and regarded by men all over and those who want to participate in the send off are highly welcome," said Kimutai.
