President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy, the Honorable William Ruto, have won the hearts of Kenyans by putting aside their political differences for the country's good before the August general election.

During the 19th National Annual Prayers Breakfast hosted at the Safari Park Hotel, the two were seen shaking hands multiple times, signifying the return of national unity.

Due to their political differences, the two had reached a point where they no longer shook hands, but today it is apparent that they have resolved to unite the country for the goal of peace in the upcoming general election.

Following this meeting, the member of parliament for Nyeri Town, Hon. Ngunjiri Wambugu, also cited the Bible to argue that all Kenyans must now unite and reason together.
In his absence, former prime minister Raila Odinga was represented by his running colleague, the Honorable Martha Karua.
