Many Kenyans have been asking themselves on what happened to Huduma number that was launched during the period of retired president Uhuru Kenyatta.
During an interview on citizen tv on Tuesday evening, CS ICT and digital Economy Eliud Owalo claimed that the Huduma number in itself was a very well intended initiative but the process of introducing it into the market place was wrong.
According to Owalo, when you are doing something like that, one need to explain to Kenyans why it is imperative to introduce such initiative.
"The Huduma Number in itself was a very well intended initiative but the process of introducing it into the market place was wrong. You need to explain to Kenyans why it is imperative to introduce such an initiative," CS said.
He continued saying that the pitfall that befell the huduma number is that there wasn't adequate sensitisation at the beginning

Mwaura also questioned Ewalo if they are planning to return Huduma number, CS responded that they are planning to to offer government services to Kenyans In a digital way , meaning similar program will be launched similar to Huduma number
