On Tuesday, kenyans turned up to vote in their preferred candidates for the next government in five years term. After the Tuesday exercise which recorded low voter turnout, the results from different areas have started streaming in.
According to the source, citizen TV Kenya, Simon Kachapin has just been declared a winner for West Pokot county. Kachapin has garnered 86,476 votes to trounce incumbent governor hon John Lonyangapuo. Lonyangapuo has gotten 84,610 votes.
Lonyangapuo who was defending his seat on a Democratic Alliance Party kenya has just conceded defeat and has congratulated the winner.
This comes as the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC has started to announce presidential results from every constituency.
