Kirinyaga county governor Anne Mumbi Waiguru has clarified that claims that His Excellency the deputy president William Ruto got extra votes in Kirinyaga are just but propaganda being spread by his foes.
According to her, the votes that were cast in Kirinyaga show that the difference between the presidential votes and that of the gubernatorial Candidates were not far apart as being claimed.
She has noted that gubernatorial candidates got 261,823 whereas the four presidential candidates got 262,723 votes cumulatively in the Central Kenya county.
"The Total votes cast for Kirinyaga Gubernatorial candidates are 261,823 & Presidential Candidates are 262,723. Pls point out the alleged 35K opaque votes..."Anne Mumbi Waiguru noted.

This comes at a time when questions have arisen on who between Raila Odinga's Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance and deputy president William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza has the largest number of MPs in the National Assembly?
Each wing maintains that they have the largest number of MPs. The co-candidate of the Azimio-One Kenya coalition presidential candidate, Mr Raila Odinga, Ms Martha Karua, maintains that they have more than 150 MPs, so "they will not be defeated by Kenya First" on the operation of the activities of the Parliament."
However, the Deputy President-elect, Mr Rigathi Gachagua, maintains that apart from the nearly 140 MPs elected on the UDA party ticket, they have already received the support of ten MPs elected as independent candidates.
Similarly, he says that among the 25 MPs elected on the Jubilee ticket, 19 of them will join the Kenya First wing, after President Uhuru Kenyatta stepped down from the leadership. Who are you telling the truth?
