On October 4, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's older brother Jack Reriani was buried in Mathira. On that day, President William Ruto and his allies were in Nyeri County.
Leaders who attended the funeral of DP Gachagua's brother included MPs Kimani Ichung'wah, Gabriel Kagombe, Ndindi Nyoro, John Njuguna, and Aden Duale.
Aaron Cheruiyot, a senator for Kericho County, stood up and addressed the criticism that has been leveled at the DP during the campaign.
Despite the criticism, he claimed that Gachagua made opponents disappear during the Deputy Presidential discussion before to the elections on August 9.
Senator Cheruiyot went on to declare that if the DP's telling the truth in the name of "kuchoma" helps save Kenyans, he should keep doing so because Kenya Kwanza is proud of him.

"Wakati ulienda debate ulirarua mtu mpaka akapotea kwelikweli. Ndiyo maana wanasema Rigathi anachoma. Kama kusema ukweli yako ndio itafanya wakenya wapone, wewe choma kabisa. Riggy G we are proud of you."
