Governor Ndiritu Breaks Silence After Bumping Into DP Today At The IBEC Meeting, Reveals The Agenda

Today I attended the 15th Ordinary Session of the Intergovernmental Budget and Economic Council (IBEC) chaired by HE. Deputy President Hon. William Samoei Ruto

Key issues on the agenda included the County Division of Revenue and fast tracking of settlement of pending bills.

I was extremely happy that the Laikipia County Infrastructure Bond to the tune of KES 1.16 Billion was approved.

This is a first by any sub national entity and is a trail blazer for counties financing frame work as reinforced by HE. Deputy President himself.

Now that as a county we have broken the glass ceiling, we look forward to our peer counties making use of this window to accelerate the financing for infrastructure projects.

For ourselves, the onus is now on our various teams to move with speed and get the identified projects started in earnest and with a clear time line for speedy, efficient and credible execution.

Today marks yet another day, where our conviction that a good thing can always be made better is realized.

I thank all the teams in our government, the national treasury and all other agencies that have worked tirelessly to realize this effort in good time.

Now it's time for work to begin. This Is Laikipia.
