A senior assistant attached to Kakamega senator Bonny Khalwale's county office is fighting for his life in hospital after he narrowly escaped a hit and run incident involving an unknown Matatu at Kilingili, Emuhaya Sub-County, Vihiga County, last night.
According to the senator, Patrick Ingosi Babu sustained serious fractures which doctors have recommended for a medical operation on a later date.
In solidarity with his office manager at his time of need, the senator paid Mr. Ingosi a visit in his sickbed to wish him quick recovery as they pursue justice.
Senator Khalwale has since called on witnesses to come to their aid in terms of helping the police to apprehend the Matatu driver who quickly vanished after causing the would be fatal accident.
"My County Office Manager, Patrick Ingosi Babu, escaped with his life when he was hit by a matatu last night at Kilingili. He has serious fractures on which we shall later operate. I visited him this morning and am appealing to eyewitnesses to help in arresting the hit and run driver". Khalwale appealed.
