President Elect William Ruto on Wednesday met with all elected leaders of Kenya Kwanza at his Karen residence. The meeting which was planned on Tuesday was aimed at reminding the newly elected leaders what they will be doing in office once they have been sworn in.
The meeting was filled with all elected leaders from around the country and it was a big day for Kenya Kwanza. Ruto said that the leadership that has been entrusted on them by the people gives them authority but also comes with a lot of responsibilities. Ruto said that the people of Kenya expect them to be accountable and they must stick to that. He also reminded them to keep the promises that they gave the people of Kenya while campaigning.
"All those elected under Kenya Kwanza, I want to tell you that the leadership we have won bestows on us authority. But this comes with a lot responsibilities and the people of Kenya expect us to be accountable." Ruto said.
