Cabinet Secretary for Interior professor Kithure Kindiki has re-assured the residents of Kerio valley where bandits recently attacked innocent young girls that the government of president William Ruto is is doing everything possible to restore and enhance the numbers of National police reservists.
"I Reiterated the Government position to restore and even enhance the numbers of the National Police Reservists in 14 bandit prone Counties with immediate effect. The decision to withdraw the nearly 10,000 reservists abruptly and without basis has caused great loss of innocent lives and deprivation of property.
The new measure will go a long way in supplementing the work of the specialized formed units in preventing and thwarting the security threats posed by marauding bandits". Said professor Kithure Kindiki.
"Accompanied by my colleague Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport Kipchumba Murkomen and elected leaders from Elgeyo Marakwet County, visited Kerio valley where bandits recently attacked innocent young girls". He added.
It's now a matter of wait and see what happens in the coming months if he will fulfill his promise or not.
