Following a series of criticisms about the importation of maize, Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has responded to the leaders of the Azimio One Kenya Coalition.
After disclosing William Ruto's administration's plans to reduce food prices, CS Kuria ran into difficulty. He drew attention to a plan to import GMO seeds and corn.
Afterwards, he gave farmers an order to stop storing corn in their warehouses.
Martha Karua, a deputy presidential candidate for the Azimio party, earlier spoke out to protect Kenyans from maize imports.
The CS reprimanded the Azimio deputy and warned her against becoming a prisoner of the past in response to Karua.
In comparison to the votes Karua gave Raila at her polling place, he said that the price of maize flour will decrease.
Karua cast her vote at Mugumo Primary School in the Gichugu Constituency, where the results from Form 34A were posted by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), where DP Ruto received 911 votes to Mr. Odinga's 311 votes.
